Description
If you are looking for a low-maintenance, high-efficiency solution for improving the indoor air quality of your home or business while saving time, money, and maintenance headaches, the Electrostatic Filter is the answer. No more work replacing expensive air filters every month! No more stress from constantly ordering replacement filters or storing disposable products. This amazing new washable filter will help every homeowner and maintenance manager save time and money while capturing common pollutants, particulates, and allergens such as pollen, dust, dander, debris, and mold — even particles down to 1.0 micron!
What is an Electrostatic Filter?
The Electrostatic Filter is a washable electrostatic filter that is suitable for business, commercial, and residential HVAC and furnace applications. It can be cleaned multiple times while retaining its effectiveness and is built to last. It features a woven polypropylene fabric layer on the front and back and an internal poly lining core for years of consistent filtration. The polypropylene is held firmly by strong aluminum mesh and a heavy-duty aluminum frame.
How Does the Electrostatic Filter Work?
The filter does not run on electricity — instead, it becomes electrostatically charged by air flowing over the filter media, similar to “static cling”. That charge causes dirt, dust, particulates, and other contaminants that degrade indoor air quality to be attracted to the metal and adhere to the filter, becoming trapped until the unit is washed with water.

The Electrostatic Air Filters Improve Indoor Air Quality
Air filters are rated by their Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV) rating. The Electro Guard electrostatic air filters have an independently tested MERV 8 rating along with a continued performance at a MERV 8 rating, even after multiple washings. Even after multiple cleanings, the filters were still proven to effectively remove contaminants and allergens such as pollen, dust mite feces, hair spray, cement dust, mold, fabric protector, skin particles, plant spores, pudding mix, pet dander, and dusting aids. Unlike disposable filters, they do not contain foam that mold, mildew, and fungi tend to breed in.
An Electrostatic Air Filter Saves You Money
By creating an electrostatic charge instead of using electricity to operate, there is no additional electrical cost — but the washable filters also keep your equipment and coils cleaner, while continuing to operate at the highest capacity possible. An Electrostatic filter will pay for itself in less than 1 year, as you will never need to buy another filter, resulting in huge savings on energy bills and new filter costs. They also save homeowners and companies on the costs of monthly maintenance required to order, store, replace and dispose of typical disposable filters by your maintenance team.
Electrostatic Filters Are Eco-Friendly
Because the filter is reusable, you’ll never need to buy, ship, or store another filter, and you won’t be creating unnecessary waste by throwing away dirty filters every filter changeout. Additionally, it has a low initial resistance to keep energy costs low.
Electrostatic HVAC Filters Are Easy to Order and Install
It’s easy to order an Electrostatic Filter online or over the phone – just select the standard size filter you are currently using. The electrostatic filter easily replaces your current pleated or throwaway filter without the use of specialty tools or modifications.
Cleaning Electrostatic Filters Is Easy
While some light residential use may only require that you wash the filter every 60-90 days, it is generally recommended that your electrostatic furnace filters get washed every 30 days. With regular cleaning, they should continue to be reusable for up to 5 years. Electrostatic filters can be vacuumed to remove excess dust and dirt, and then rinsed underwater. If required, a mild detergent may be used and then thoroughly rinsed off. Do not use household cleaners, industrial solvents, oils, or alkali solutions to clean the filters, as that will result in damage. After rinsing thoroughly, allow the filter to dry completely before re-installing.
